Rejected Mag Cover

This magazine cover had been rejected....there was no really description as too why but i thought it interesting to maybe find out from you guyz what you might think might be wrong or what iporvements could have been made. The KLUE like very other magazine does stand out and grab the attension to the view with its vivid red color, but im not really sure if the white background is a really good choice in this case. I myself am not a fan of white backgrounds because it seems to be verry common or empty. Very basic structure to the cover but i feel it need more info about whats happening or stories inside the magazine that could form healins on the outside of the page ceeping the image and focul-points clear.
